Guilty Plea, Life Behind Bars

One of the suspects accused of killing a man as he was leaving the Dane County Jail is headed to prison.

This morning Demone Cummins pleaded guilty to first-degree homicide and was sentenced to life behind bars.  He took a plea deal and had drug and gun charges dropped.  Cummins will also have a chance to request parole in the future.  He and Amond Galtney are accused of killing Dwayne Collins Junior last year.  Galtney has pleaded not guilty to first-degree intentional homicide.
