Wisconsinites looking for a new dog lined up outside the Washington County Humane Society yesterday morning, hours before they opened.
They were hoping to adopt one of 47 puppies — and one adult dog — who had been rescued from an illegal shipping operation. Authorities near Fond du Lac intercepted the illegal shipment that were bound for Texas over the weekend. The suspect behind the operation is in custody. The humane society was able to find forever homes for all of the dogs in one day.
