Man Faces Life In Prison for Wounding WI Officers

It could be a de-facto life sentence for the man who shot and wounded two Delafield officers back in 2020.

A jury in Waukesha yesterday found 25-year-old Nathanael Benton guilty of attempted murder and other charges. He’s looking at 78-years in prison when he’s sentenced. The shooting outside of the Holiday Inn in Delafield touched-off a massive manhunt. In addition to the attempted murder charges,

Benton is facing charges for a jailhouse fight in Waukesha County, and a murder charge in North Dakota. Police there say he shot a man in the head before fleeing eventually to Wisconsin.
