Over 70 percent of Wisconsin, including a huge chunk of the western part of the state, is at a high risk for wildfires.
The Department of Natural Resources yesterday said 52 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties are at high risk. The DNR says fire crews have had to battle over 250 wildfires so far this year. They say high winds, warm weather, and dry brush are making for a busy spring wildfire season.
