Judge Delays Decision in Adult Charges for Teen

It will be next month before a judge decides if a 14-year-old should be tried as an adult for the carjacking and rape of an 87-tear-old woman in Waukesha back in November.

Prosecutors yesterday told the judge that the teen needs to be held accountable for what he did. Police say he pulled a knife on the woman near the Waukesha Library, forced her into her car, raped her, stole her credit card and checkbook, then threatened to kill her family if she called the police.

Adult charges could mean decades in prison, while juvenile charges could mean probation.
