There’s hope the High Bridge will be open again by next month.
Eau Claire’s city engineer yesterday said crews are almost done with the work along the base of the bridge, that’s expected to wrap-up this month. If all goes well the bridge should open sometime in March. The bridge has been closed for almost a year-and-a-half after inspectors found serious damage to the pilings at the base of the bridge.
