Two Charged After Local Credit Card Thefts

On December 31, 2021, at 12:40pm, Lake Hallie Police received a report of a stolen credit card at the Wal-Mart Store, 2786 Commercial Blvd, Lake Hallie.

The victim stated the credit card was used to make a $646.66 purchase at Farm and Fleet, located in the Village of Lake Hallie, on December 24th. Through further investigation, the Lake Hallie Police Department identified Anthony Williams (age 23 from Boyd) and Kaitlin Gadke (age 20 from Boyd) as suspects. On January 4, 2022, Gadke was arrested for felony retail theft, felony identity theft, and misdemeanor fraudulent use of a credit card relating to the offense at the Farm and Fleet.


On January 9, 2022, at 1:00pm, Lake Hallie Police Department received additional information that another credit card was stolen from another victim. Two additional charges were made. The charges were $263.41 from Walmart, and $193.76 from Azara Smoke N Vape, both located in the Village of Lake Hallie.


On January 10, 2022, Lake Hallie Police Officers, with the assistance from the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Gadke and Williams for the additional thefts.

Gadke was charged with misdemeanor obstructing a law enforcement officer, an additional count of felony identity theft, and an additional count of misdemeanor fraudulent use of a credit card.

Williams was charged with felony identity theft, misdemeanor fraudulent use of a credit card, misdemeanor obstructing
a law enforcement officer and party to a crime.

Both Gadke and Williams were transported to the Chippewa County Jail without incident.
