There is a new version of Wisconsin’s new political map.
Governor Tony Evers yesterday submitted a new version of the map which he says meets the ‘least change’ criteria set forth by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The map creates a new African American Assembly district, but continues to give Republicans a majority in the state legislature and Congress. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says the governor abandoned his promise to draw a ‘people’s map,’ and instead drew his new map in secret. The governor’s design is a suggestion, either the federal court of Wisconsin’s Supreme Court will draw Wisconsin’s new political map.
