Fog Blamed For Deadly Crash

Fog Blamed For Deadly Crash

The sheriff in Marinette County is blaming yesterday’s fog for a chain-reaction crash that left one person dead.

Sheriff Jerry Sauve says the wreck happened near Coleman yesterday morning. The sheriff says cars kept smashing into the back of each other at a railroad crossing on Highway 64. The crashes pushed some vehicles into a moving train. That led the train to jump the tracks. One person died and several others were hurt. The sheriff told people not to drive because of the fog yesterday. Marinette County and the Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.
