WI DNR Board Looking To Lawyer-Up

WI DNR Board Looking To Lawyer-Up

The back-and-forth over Wisconsin’s DNR board and the state’s wolf hunt is not easing.

The board, which is still run by a Governor Walker appointee, is going to meet today and could hire outside lawyers to represent it in the coming legal fight over Wisconsin’s wolf hunt. The DNR board set a wolf hunt quota of 300 wolves this year, but the Department of Natural Resources staff undercut them and set the quota much lower. Wisconsin’s attorney general is supposed to represent both sides, but the DNR board’s chief says the lawyers are not communicating with him.
