We have an update on a recent crash as the man involved passed away from his injuries.
On Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one motorcycle accident in the township of Gilmanton, on State Highway 37 near the intersection of Steiner Road.
Upon the arrival of first responders, James Raymond Ruecker, age 74 of South Saint Paul, was located laying on the roadway near the southbound lane’s guardrail. Ruecker was unresponsive but breathing. Deputies were informed by individuals riding with Ruecker, that Ruecker entered the sharp corner traveling too fast, causing him to take the corner too wide and strike the guardrail. Ruecker was flown to Mayo of Eau Claire with suspected severe injuries and later passed away from his injures on Sunday, August 29th.
