First Responders Called to a Boat Near Alma

A Chippewa Falls man is dead after collapsing on a boat over the weekend.

It was on Sunday, August 8th at approximately 4PM, when the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, received a 911 call regarding a medical emergency on the fishing float near Alma, WI. Witnesses report that a 38year old male identified as William Korn collapsed on the fishing float and became unresponsive. Witnesses on the fishing float began CPR and contacted the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office. 

Upon arrival, law enforcement and EMS personnel provided life saving measures to William Korn, of Chippewa Falls,. However, life saving measures were unsuccessful. 

Assisting the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office was the Alma Fire Department, Western Buffalo County Ambulance Service, and Mayo One Air Ambulance.
