An Eau Claire man will spend a year in prison after pleading no contest to a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Thirty-two-year-old Cory Sigears shot a gun while he was drunk and near another person outside an Eau Claire tavern. The judge dismissed a felony charge and a misdemeanor charge, but those were considered at his sentencing.
