WI Sees First Piece of Opioid Settlement

The first piece of Wisconsin’s opioid settlement is worth 65-million dollars.

Attorney General Josh Kaul yesterday said the state will get the money from Purdue Pharma, the makers of Oxytcontin. Purdue is settling with some states as part of a lawsuit that claims the company pushed Oxy pills without warning of the dangers. In all, the Purdue Pharma settlement is over four-billion dollars.
