The budget committee in the Wisconsin legislature is voting down body cameras for State Capitol Police.
Governor Tony Evers had proposed spending up to 100-thousand-dollars to equip over three dozen Capitol officers with the cameras. The proposal didn’t get past the budget committee today, which voted 12-to-four along party lines to squash the measure.
