WI Coronavirus Cases Remain Low, Local Vaccination Efforts Continue

It’s now a little easier to get a coronavirus vaccine appointment in Chippewa County.

The county’s health department yesterday said they updated their website to make finding and scheduling a vaccine time easier. There’s also a new vaccine standby list. Public Health Director Angela Weideman says people on that list will get notified if there are cancellations or extra doses that suddenly become available. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM CHIPPEWA CO.

On the state level, Wisconsin’s coronavirus numbers have ticked-up a bit, but are still far below where they were months ago.

The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported a seven day average of two-point-eight percent. That number dropped as low as two percent earlier this month, but was as high as 17 percent back in November. DHS says 233 people are in the hospital with the virus, including 74 people in the ICU.
