The state of Wisconsin is following the IRS’ lead.
The state yesterday said it is delaying this year’s tax filing deadline until May 17th. Interest and penalties on state taxes are also being delayed until May. The Department of Revenue says the delay will help about half of the taxpayers in the state. The other half have already filed their taxes.
