Clean Up Begins, Fires Continue….

Locally our weather may be Septemberiffic, but that is not the case everywhere and we will take a peek into Mother Nature as she dishes out disaster across the U.S.

On our national scene….Alabama and Florida are cleaning up after Hurricane Sally.  The former Category 2 hurricane is now a tropical depression as it continues to dump heavy rain over the Southeast.  The storm left a trail of destruction in Florida and Alabama, where Sally made landfall Wednesday morning.

Videos from the coast show flooded streets, strewn debris and trees that were blown down. Florida authorities say 200 National Guard members will be arriving today in Pensacola, Tropical Depression Sally is expected to drop from four-to-eight inches of rain today as it moves across Georgia into South Carolina.

And on the other side of the country, smoke from the Western wildfires is now filling the sky over Europe and threatening life on the West Coast.  Experts said this week that Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco are facing the worst air pollution on the planet.
