The statues at the Wisconsin Capitol are going back up.
The State Capitol and Executive Residence Board gave the green light to restore the Forward statue and the statue of Colonel Hans Christian Heg. A group of rioters tore the statues down late last month. They removed the head from Heg’s statue and tossed the rest in the lake. The Executive Residence Board is also setting-up a fund for people to donate to restore the statues.
There’s no word how long it will take to reinstall both statues.
