WI CORONAVIRUS POSITIVE TEST RATE TICKS UP

There is a jump in both hospitalizations and the daily coronavirus-positive-test rate in Wisconsin.

The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported that 244 people are being treated in the hospital. That’s up 12 since Friday. Wisconsin’s daily positive-test-rate is also up, to just over 10 percent, but there is also a significant drop in the number of people being tested. DHS said just 44 hundred tests were processed yesterday.

A person in their 70s is Rusk County’s first coronavirus death. The county’s health department on Friday wouldn’t say much about the person, only that they had underlying health conditions. Officially, Rusk County has reported eleven coronavirus cases. Ten of those people have fully recovered.
