GOV. EVERS REQUESTS FEDERAL DISASTER DECELERATION

Wisconsin’s governor is officially asking for federal help in dealing with the coronavirus.

Governor Tony Evers yesterday asked for a federal disaster declaration. That would open-up more opportunities for more federal money to come into the state. The governor has declared a state-based public health emergency. He’s ordered people to stay at home till April 24th.

When it comes to cases in our state, there continues to be more than 10-times as many people who have been tested and confirmed to not be sick with the coronavirus in Wisconsin as there are people who are sick. The state’s coronavirus count hit 14-hundred-39 confirmed cases yesterday.

The state’s Department of Health Services says 17-thousand people have been tested and cleared. There are 25 deaths from the virus in the state.
