The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire is the latest UW campus to cancel study abroad programs.
The school yesterday said it will not send students to China or Italy to study this summer. Both countries are dealing with coronavirus outbreaks. On Friday, UWEC officials announced they were canceling a study abroad program in South Korea as well.
As of now, here in Wisconsin, the state’s Department of Health Services confirmed that it is now handling coronavirus tests.
There are two new possible cases in the state. So far, just one person in Wisconsin has come down with the virus, while 18 others have tested negative.
