On Friday afternoon about 4:45 the Eau Claire Fire Department responded to 902 Menomonie St for a report of a structure fire.
Upon fire unit’s arrival, the crews found a working fire on the 2nd floor of a 5-unit apartment building. Crews worked quickly to search and contain the fire to one unit and the attic and ir was under control in about an hour.
2 Engines, 2 Ladder Trucks, 1 Squad, 2 Ambulances and 2 Chiefs responded to the call. There were no reported injuries. The fire caused about $200,000 in damages and remains under investigation.
