Whether it’s butt-dialing or prank calls, Eau Claire County’s 911 managers say they’re getting a lot of false calls this year.
The 911 office says they’ve gotten about 32 hundred false calls so far this year. That’s 10 per-day. 911’s Dena Clark says stay on the line if you accidentally call 911, so you can explain the situation. If it’s a prank call, she says stop.
