WOMEN FACING CHARGES AFTER ANIMALS RESCUED

A pair of women in Eau Claire are looking at charges after police took 28 animals out of their filthy home.

Prosecutors filed charges yesterday against Sheri Perez and Joan Schmitz. Police say they took 20 cats and eight dogs from the two last month. Animal rescuers say their house was filthy and almost unlivable. Perez and Schmitz are both free on bond, and they’re due back in court in December.
