CURBSIDE ALCOHOL TAPS OUT IN LACROSSE

CURBSIDE ALCOHOL TAPS OUT IN LACROSSE

You can have your milk, eggs, bread, steak, and cheese delivered to your car in La Crosse, but not your beer or wine.

And it may be awhile before you can.  City leaders are still trying to come to an agreement on rules to allow for curbside alcohol delivery.  The latest plan before the city council would have someone from the store check your ID, and would limit sales to between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. But there would be a four-hour delay between ordering the alcohol and picking it up.  There are some who are wondering if the rules are written specifically to block the local Walmart from selling more alcohol.
