No one at city hall in Chippewa Falls is saying where they will get the extra 40 thousand-dollars it’s going to cost to fix the Glen Loch Dam.
City engineer Rick Rubenzer last night said the project is expected to cost almost 170 thousand-dollars. Chippewa Falls has a state grant that will cover 92 thousand-dollars of that. He said the city is on the hook for the rest. But, Rubenzer, said the work has to be done. He doesn’t think the dam would close if the city were to open it to try and draw down Glen Loch Lake.
