The Tavern League of Wisconsin is offering SafeRide, which is designed to keep drunk drivers off Wisconsin roads. On the Tavern League website you can find member bars that will help you find a ride home. The Tavern League says the program has provided over one-million rides since 2004.

Dane County Circuit Court Judge Rhonda Lanford ruled this week that other nonhazardous food items can be made and sold from home without a commercial license or kitchen. That includes things like candy, cocoa bombs, fried donuts, and roasted coffee beans. The judge’s ruling against the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection specified that sales have to be made in Wisconsin, person to person.

Read MoreOn 12/30/22 at approximately 12:20 am Martise Terrell Craig from Lithia Springs GA was arrested after fleeing from law enforcement in a high-speed pursuit. Mr. Craig was suspected of stealing a vehicle at knifepoint in Minnesota. Troopers located the stolen vehicle on Interstate 94 eastbound near milepost 28. A pursuit ensued shortly after troopers attempted to stop the suspect’s vehicle. Speeds reached 119 mph. The pursuit continued eastbound on interstate 94 through Dunn County coming to the city of Menomonie.

Read MorePolice in Eau Claire are once again asking for help in finding a murder suspect from back in September. Investigators yesterday asked for help in finding Kemone Golden. He is one of three suspects in the killing of Christopher Conner, but he is the only one on the run. Detectives say Conner died after a fight that followed a night of bar hopping. Anyone with any information about Golden is being asked to call Crime Stoppers.

The state’s Department of Natural Resources yesterday confirmed a case of CWD in a deer in Buffalo County. A hunter bagged the two-year-old doe. This is the first case of CWD in wild deer in Buffalo County. The case means another three-year ban on feeding and baiting deer in the county.
