Your library card could get you a lot more than just a book. The state’s Department of Natural Resources on Friday announced a pilot program that will allow people to ‘check-out’ a state park pass at their local library. The program is limited to just one thousand people and 20 participating libraries across the state. Flags Lowered One Year After Parade Attack

Governor Tony Evers is ordering flags on all public buildings in Wisconsin to fly at half-staff Monday to pay respect to the six people killed in last year’s Waukesha Christmas Parade.   Waukesha has scheduled a public ceremony to mark the one-year anniversary of the tragedy.  Last Wednesday, the man convicted of the murders was sentenced to six consecutive life terms and more than 700 years in prison for driving his SUV into the parade.  The Waukesha Christmas Parade will return on Sunday

Green Lake Co. Sees Deadly Hunting Accident

The sheriff in Green Lake County says an adult made a mistake while unloading his gun, and killed an 11-year-old boy over the weekend.  It happened yesterday morning in the Township of Seneca.  The DNR is calling it a hunting accident.  Investigators say the boy was in the backseat when the gun went off, hitting him in the chest.  The boy later died at the hospital.

Bah-HumBUGS? DNR Warns Of Tree Bugs

Winner Declared In La Crosse Co. Sheriff’s Race

There’s finally have a winner of the sheriff’s race in La Crosse County.  The county’s clerk on Friday declared Democratic Candidate John Siegel as the winner.  He won by 175 votes.  The Republican in the race asked for a limited recount in the race, and only found one new vote.

Badgers Are Bowl Eligible

The Badgers are now bowl eligible after beating the Huskers in Lincoln.   Wisconsin staged a comeback in the second half to beat Nebraska 15-14 on Saturday.  A last-minute touchdown drive gave the Badgers their sixth win of the season, making them bowl eligible for their 21st consecutive year, which is one of the longest postseason streaks in the U.S.  Wisconsin closes out the regular season next Saturday with a home game against Minnesota.

Equipment Violation Leads To 2nd OWI
