It was time to move on. That’s how the University of Wisconsin’s athletic director is framing the decision to fire football coach Paul Chryst. The school announced Chryst was out last night. Defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard will take over as interim head coach. Chryst went 67-26 in his eight seasons with the Badgers, including a disappointing 2-3 start this season. Jury selection begins today in Darrell Brooks Jr.’s trial. He is facing a life sentence for six homicide counts and a slew of other charges.
