If you ride the bus and use the Eau Claire Transit app, a heads up that you can free that space on your smart phone. Read MoreIt’s another sign of just how hot this start to July is. Wis-DOT says a pavement buckle closed both lanes of eastbound I-94 yesterday. The interstate was closed for a few hours as crews repaired the broken pavement. High temperatures cause the road to buckle, then rip-open. The hole the buckles leave behind can do serious damage to cars.
Read MoreOn July 6, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. Marshfield Utilities is hosting a presentation of the final results from the Stock the Pantry Challenge. Eleven organizations participated in the challenge held the week of June 12th. Each collected non-perishable food and hygiene items for donation to Soup or Socks. A grand total of 3,827 items were donated. A traveling trophy will be awarded to the winning team, and the last-place team will take their penalty of kissing a mystery critter.

The state’s Department of Natural Resources over the weekend issued several warnings about high e coli levels at several different lakes.
