The latest plan from Democrats at the Wisconsin Capitol would encourage businesses to install adult changing stations in their bathrooms.  Senator Melissa Agard and state Rep. The Mega Millions jackpot is inching closer to a billion dollars.  No one won the big prize in last night’s game.  Lottery managers say that means Friday’s drawing will be worth 910-million dollars.  That would be the eighth-largest jackpot in U.S. history.  The lump sum payout would be 464-million dollars, before taxes.

Wisconsin’s air quality alert is extended to eleven o’clock tonight.  The National Weather Service says that’s around the time all that Canadian wildfire smoke should start to move out.  Until then the National Weather Service says people susceptible to poor air quality should limit their time outside.

The Chippewa Valley Technical College Culinary Management Program received a seven-year exemplary status accreditation from American Culinary Federation during its national meeting the week of July 15. Abduction Report a Hoax

Police in Whitewater say last week’s report of an attempted child abduction was a hoax. Investigators yesterday said the witness who said they saw a man try and snatch a young girl off the street ‘gave a false account.’ That report sent police across southern Wisconsin looking for a man with tan skin in a black sedan. Whitewater Police say there is no threat to the community. They are not saying, however, if the person who made-up the story will be charged.

Early Voting Push Begins

Republicans in Wisconsin are now embracing early voting. Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel yesterday launched what they are calling the Bank Your Vote initiative. McDaniel says the idea is to get Republicans to vote early, so they don’t have to wait for or worry about Election Day. Former Prosecutor Headed to Jail

A former northwestern Wisconsin prosecutor is going to jail for making secret sex tapes. A St. Croix County judge yesterday sentenced former Burnett County Assistant District Attorney Daniel Steffen to one-and-a-half years behind bars for filming himself having sex with women, without their knowledge. Steffen was convicted of making two secret sex tapes at his house in Polk County back in 2018. After his time in prison, Steffen will be on parole for two years, and under a probation agreement for another

There was emotional testimony on the first day of Taylor Schabusinesses trial in Green Bay, particularly as the victims mother took the stand. A string of witnesses took the stand yesterday as prosecutors tried to make the case that Schabusiness strangled her boyfriend, Shad Thyrion, during a day of drug use and sex, and then dismembered his body.
