Finalists Announced for 2023 MARKETPLACE Wisconsin awards

Seventeen Wisconsin companies and individuals have been named as finalists for the 2023 MARKETPLACE Governor’s Awards, which honor Wisconsin businesses owned by minorities, women and service-disabled veterans, and their advocates. Winners will be announced at the Governor’s Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 7, at the 42nd annual MARKETPLACE: the Governor’s Conference on Diverse Business Development. New Plan Would Address Audits

There is a new plan at the Wisconsin Capitol that would automatically audit elections in the state. State Representative Scott Allen has legislation that would have the Legislative Audit Bureau randomly select one city and one village from four different counties in the state, and fully investigate the election there. Car Companies Warn of Issues

Add this to the worries for Kia and Hyundai drivers in Wisconsin. The car companies are asking owners to park their cars outside until they deal with a looming recall over a fire risk. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says some Kia and Hyundai models could have a leak in their brake systems, that leak could lead to an electrical short, and that could cause a fire.
