The University of Wisconsin has fired the chancellor at UW-La Crosse because of his porn videos. UW regents yesterday terminated Chancellor Joe Gow’s contract. We’re waiting for more information about the suspect in Tuesday’s bomb scare at the Farm & Fleet in Janesville.  Police say they ‘immediately’ arrested a suspect Tuesday after getting a report about a suspicious backpack at the store.  Janesville Police eventually emptied the store, and secured the parking lot.  Police commanders say they’ve sent the case to the DA for possible, formal charges.

There are new questions about the integrity of the sheriff in Chippewa County. The District Attorney in Chippewa Falls says he has questions about Sheriff Travis Hakes after the sheriff made a list of questionable officers a few years back. Hakes was added to a so-called Brady List while he was a police officer in Chetek. A Brady List is a list of officers who have issues with lying or stretching the truth, and may not be reliable in court.

Police in Bloomer are asking for some blankets and towels. The city’s police department took to Facebook yesterday to ask for donations to help resupply the local shelter. The sheriff in Rusk County is warning that the ice is still too thin in some places. The sheriff’s office yesterday said someone fell through the ice while fishing on Fireside Lake yesterday morning. People who live on the lake pulled the man out of the water before deputies were able to get there. He was taken to the hospital in Rice Lake as a precaution. Bangstad, who is the owner of the Minocqua Brewing Company and its political action committee, says he plans to file a 14th Amendment challenge to disqualify Trump from running for office in Wisconsin. The road test waiver available to high school driver’s education students will be going away starting January 1. The waiver allowed 16- and 17- year old seeking a drivers license to waive a road test after completing driver’s education and 50 hours of supervised time behind the wheel. A Washington County man is looking at charges after the sheriff says he pretended to be a deputy to try and get naked pictures from a local woman. The real sheriff’s office got a tip about 35-year-old Daniel Anderson after investigators said he allegedly told the woman he could make some criminal charges disappear if she’d send him naked pictures and or have sex with him. Anderson is really a tow truck driver who police say found the woman after
