Wisconsin is about to expand electric vehicle charging stations across the state.  Two bills now signed into law will allow the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to use more than 78-million dollars in Federal money to boost EV infrastructure at private businesses that want to offer EV charging stations.  The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says, when completed, drivers will never be more than 25 miles away from a fast charging station on most of the state’s highways. Wisconsin is ranked the tenth best state in the nation for singles.  The study by Consumer Affairs reports Wisconsin’s median income is nearly 71-thousand dollars, with a lower than average cost of housing, overall cost of living and low crime rate.  Wisconsin has an average size population of singles, and the third-highest number of bars per person in the nation.  Neighboring Minnesota ranks ninth best for singles.  Illinois ranks fifth.

A judge in Rock County wants a doctor to see if the suspect in the stabbing death of an eight-year-old girl is competent enough to stand trial. The judge yesterday ordered a competency hearing for 20-year-old Dayveon Lathrop. He’s accused of stabbing his adopted sister to death, then hiding her body in a storage tote earlier this month.
