It’s going to be a bit more expensive to head back to school in Wisconsin this year. Governor Tony Evers yesterday said he will not call for a back to school sales tax holiday. Governor Walker last year called for stores to give parents a break on everything from clothes and shoes to back to school supplies. Governor Evers says there’s no evidence the sales tax holiday worked.

National Weather Service investigators confirmed an EF-zero twister touched down about six miles southeast of Barron Sunday evening. A judge yesterday ordered Garland “Joey” Nelson held without bond. Police arrested Nelson for driving Nick and Justin Diemel’s pick-up truck. Investigators in Missouri think the brothers from northeast Wisconsin are dead, but they do not know where their bodies are. The sheriff in Callaway County, Missouri said heavy rain yesterday hampered their search for the brothers.
