A boat is destroyed after a fire in Northwoods. Pine Lake Fire and Rescue says three people were on the boat when it caught fire on Lake George near Rhinelander yesterday but they were able to get safely to the dock. The boat had to be taken out of the water after the fire was extinguished so that no debris got into the water. It’s unclear how the fire started.

Police raided the church last week and search warrant documents claim marijuana had been sold at the church for several months. Court records also say an undercover informant bought drugs from the church. The church founder says church members can’t purchase cannabis under any circumstance. He and another church official have a court hearing scheduled for Thursday.

Read MoreThe sheriff in Pierce County says a man was likely drunk when he rammed his car into a deputy’s squad car. It happened Sunday night in the town of Ellsworth. Deputies were called-out for a domestic violence call, that’s when they say 39-year-old Luke Anderson jumped into his car, and took aim at the deputy. The crash was serious enough to send Anderson’s car into a ditch. He was taken to the hospital, he’ll face charges when he’s released.

Sargent is one of many Wisconsin Democrats who want to legalize marijuana in the state.
