Students at UW Eau Claire are expected in class this morning, despite a weekend fire at Phillips Hall. School leaders say the fire Saturday morning did ‘extensive’ damage to a research lab, but didn’t do much damage to the rest of the building. No one was hurt in the fire. Firefighters think the fire started at a printer.

Jackson is serving time for not paying his child support, and he was due to be released at the end of the month. Read MoreWe now know the fate of a woman charged with murder. A judge in Dunn County has sentenced Ezra McCandless to life in prison with possibility for parole after 50 years today. McCandless convicted of stabbing her boyfriend, Aexander Woodworth, to death back in 2018. Police say she stabbed him 16 times. McCandless tried to claim self-defense, but a jury found her guilty last November. She was sentenced today in a Dunn County Court.
