Coronavirus has affected every corner of our lives, but it might not affect the polls.
Wisconsin’s governor says nothing has led him to change his mind about next week’s election. Governor Tony Evers yesterday said there is no reason to think that the election won’t be held on April 7th. He continues to suggest that people vote early or absentee. Local clerks say they’ve seen a record turnout for absentee ballots.
The Wisconsin Election Commission says 848 thousand people have asked for an absentee ballot. Over 250 thousand people have already cast an absentee ballot.
