The city of La Crosse is ready to spend 100-thousand-dollars to look at parking. The city’s Board of Public Works approved the study last night. La Crosse last studied parking back in 2014, but city leaders say this review will be more comprehensive. The plan is to take a look at available parking around the city’s hospitals and around the UW La Crosse campus.

The National Indian Gaming Commission announced the fine yesterday. The Badger State had a 14-percent increase in deaths in 2017 compared to the ten years prior. But the death rate among Wisconsinites over the age of 65 decreased by ten-percent in that decade. The top three causes of death are heart disease, cancer and unintentional injury, like falls.
