We now know more about a fire at a local business. One person is in the hospital after a fire at a salvage yard. The Township Fire Department said a fire at Randy’s Auto Sales and Salvage burned for several hours yesterday before they could put it out. Firefighters said they had a hard time getting into the building because of falling debris. They still don’t know what caused it.

Communications Director Dale Karls said the point is not just to count how many people are impacted by homelessness, but to help them enroll in programs that help them find housing. Karls said they’ll be collecting data for five days, following social distancing guidelines.

The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported just over a thousand positive tests and just over 14-thousand negative tests. That negative test number set a record for the second straight day. Hospitalizations increased as well. Read MoreThe man found with 67-pounds of cocaine in the back of a U-Haul in April of last year is heading to prison. A judge yesterday sentenced Samuel Serrano to nine years in prison. Investigators say the bust, which was made at the Menards distribution center, was the largest drug bust in Eau Claire County history. Serrano pleaded no contest to the charges.
