Three young women say an Eau Claire man sexually abused them when they were young children. Chantavy Lee is facing charges in both Eau Claire and Dunn counties. The Eau Claire case is sealed, but the Dunn County case states that three young women all say Lee abused them when they were children. The Department of Health Services says there will be an outage in the system to allow for some improvements to be made. The Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System is used by local and tribal jurisdictions, health care providers and public health officials to collect and keep track of COVID-19 info. The system shutdown started yesterday evening. The upgraded system will roll out Monday and Tuesday.

The grant money comes from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health through its Wisconsin Partnership Program. Yesterday, WMTV reported that the grant money will go toward the launch of the Well Black Women Institute which will train black women on how to establish unencumbered health access in Dane, Rock and Milwaukee counties. The first group of trainees will be established in 2022.
