Judge Jon Theisen accepted Filiberto Rivera’s guilty plea yesterday, and ordered him into a deferred plea agreement. That means if Rivera doesn’t commit a crime for three-and-a-half years, the sexual assault charges will be erased. A judge yesterday ordered that Brian Higgins be sent to Michigan to face charges. Investigators say he helped the militia group that wanted to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. But before Higgins will be sent back, the judge said he will stay in Wisconsin until his appeal in the case is complete.
