It’s the anniversary of the first case of coronavirus to be treated in Madison.
Yesterday marked a year since UW Health attended to its first COVID-19 patient in University Hospital. The patient had recently returned from a trip to China where exposure to the disease happened. Recovery time for the patient was around a month. It was the first case in Wisconsin and the 12th reported case in the United States.
