Wisconsin’s National Guard commanders say they will continue searching for a missing F-16 pilot. The guard yesterday said it did not find the pilot who was in the fighter plane that went down in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Tuesday night. It’s homicide charges for the Minnesota man accused of a deadly stabbing last weekend in Hudson. The D.A. in St. Croix County yesterday filed formal charges against William Davidson Jr. Police say he was the main aggressor in a fight last Saturday that ended with Cain Solheim’s stabbing death. Solheim was one of two people stabbed in the fight, but the other victim survived. Davidson is looking at a life sentence if convicted.

Eau Claire is on the list of communities in Wisconsin to get healthcare workers from the Army. The Department of Defense yesterday said it is sending 45 workers to Marshfield Medical Center facilities in Eau Claire, Rice Lake, Marshfield and Beaver Dam. The hope is to help take some of the pressure off overworked local staff.

The Coronavirus cases in our state seem to be holding steady. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported 36 hundred new coronavirus positives and 81 new deaths. But overall, Wisconsin’s positivity numbers are going down. The state’s seven-day positivity rate is now below 13 percent. DHS managers and Governor Evers warned that the coronavirus numbers would spike after Thanksgiving, and as of now the data isn’t showing that happening.

It is still flu season. Eau Claire’s public health director Lieske Giese says even with the coronavirus still spreading, people in the Chippewa Valley need to be protected from the flu. Her office handed-out free flu shots for younger people last night at North High School. Giese says it is as important as ever to protect yourself this year.

Environmental justice is at the center of Wisconsin’s latest climate change report. The state’s Climate Change Task Force released its report yesterday. It makes many of the same recommendations that climate change activists have made in the past: a lower carbon footprint and more electric cars. Wisconsin Health officials are confirming over 36-hundred new positive COVID-19 cases statewide today.  More than 422-thousand cases have been confirmed in the Badger State since the beginning of the pandemic.  An additional 81 deaths were reported today bringing the death toll from the coronavirus to nearly three-thousand-900.

 The search continues for the missing Wisconsin pilot involved in an F-16 crash in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  Officials say the plane crashed in Delta County, Michigan last night.  The pilot is based at Truax with the Wisconsin Air National Guard and was on a routine training mission.  The pilot’s identity has not been released.

OSHA is investigating the death of an employee in a grain silo.  The body of the victim was recovered after a day-long search at the Didion Milling plant in Cambria yesterday.  The Columbia County Sheriff says the victim is a man in his 50s from Waupun.  His identity will be released once family is notified.

Approximately 50 U.S. Army medical personnel, part of a Department of Defense COVID-19 operation, will be assisting healthcare providers at four Marshfield Clinic Health System hospitals this week in Marshfield, Eau Claire, Rice Lake and Beaver Dam.
