Teen Could Face Life in Prison After Abuse Charges Surface

A man accused of sexually abusing one Dunn County girl is now facing charges for allegedly abusing another. The D.A. in Menomonie filed new charges against 19-year-old Wyatt Holcomb. He’s already accused of abusing a girl from the time she was nine until she was 13-years old. The new charges accuse Holcomb of abusing a second girl, starting when she was six. Holcomb is essentially looking at life in prison if convicted in both cases.

Federal Sentence Handed Down to Chippewa Valley Drug Dealer

It’s ten years in prison for a man who admitted selling meth in the Chippewa Valley. Zachary Tepsa pleaded guilty to drug dealing charges back in January. A federal judge sentenced him to a decade behind bars yesterday. Tepsa is currently in state prison on meth-dealing and fleeing from police charges. He was due to get out in two years, but will now serve his time for the new federal sentence.

Ending enhanced federal unemployment benefits may solve Wisconsin’s worker shortage in the short-term, but a new study says the state will likely have troubles filling jobs for years to come. Doses Dip in WI

The latest coronavirus snapshot in Wisconsin shows few people are getting the vaccine. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday updated its vaccine numbers, and now says that doctors and nurses handed-out just over 50-thousand doses last week. Gov. Evers Makes Splash with Coast Communities

Governor Evers is sending a little more than a million-dollars to communities along Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. The governor announced one-point-four-million-dollars on Coastal Management grants yesterday. Nearly 40 communities will share the money to go toward everything from beach access to pollution control. The governor says Wisconsin’s coastal communities are a vital part of the state, and we need to maintain their lakeshores and lake access.

Ballot Questions Approach the Bench…Again

The Wisconsin Supreme Court may not be able to escape the question of whether ballot droboxes and ballot harvesting are allowed in the state. The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty yesterday filed a lawsuit that once again says Wisconsin election law doesn’t allow either. The city of Milwaukee is going to talk about the city’s rise in violent crime and the unruly crowds along Water Street this week. Let’s Bounce!

 It is billed as the world’s largest bounce house, and it is coming to Waukesha. Organizers yesterday said The Big Bounce America will be at the Waukesha Expo Center August 13th through the 15th. The company’s co-founder Grahame Ferguson says this will be a chance for kids to get out and let off some steam this summer. Birth Certificates Expand for New Parents

Beginning this Thursday, July 1st Wisconsin residents will have a new, gender-neutral option for identifying the parents of a child.   Wendy Wilde reports. Hot Diggity Dog! WI Represented at Coney Island

She is ranked 44th by Major League Eating and that inspires Kathryn Tesch to compete in the biggest hot dog eating contest of the year.  The Dorchester, Wisconsin native has twice competed in Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July contest.  Her best performance was eating ten-and-a-half hot dogs to finish in tenth place in 2019.  Tesch will try for a personal-best once again at this year’s contest at Coney Island.
