The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said there are now over 430 people in hospitals across the state. It’s the first time that number is that high since February. The Legislative Fiscal Bureau this week said Wisconsin is on pace to end the current state budget with a record-setting one-point-seven-billion-dollar surplus. That’s the largest surplus in state history. LFB says the new budget will also end with one-point-five-billion-dollars in Wisconsin’s rainy day fund.
