Woman Airlifted After Motorcycle Crash

On September 22, 2021 at approximately 5:09PM, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a single motorcycle crash on Highway 35 a short distance north of Highway 25 in the Town of Nelson. 

It was reported that the driver of the 2022 Ducati Monster, 49 year old Melinda Peasha of Plymouth, MN, was traveling northbound on Highway 35 when she went over a bridge and lost control causing her to crash. The driver was wearing a helmet and other safety equipment, she was transported to a Rochester hospital with serious injuries by Mayo One Helicopter. The front end of the motorcycle had broken off  and was found approximately 50 yards from the crash scene. 

Emergency crews were on scene from the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson Fire Department, Western Buffalo County Ambulance Service, and Mayo One Helicopter.
