WI Vaccine Incentive Extended

Folks in Wisconsin have another two weeks to get 100 dollars for getting their coronavirus shot. Governor Evers on Friday extended the deadline. Anyone who gets the vaccine will be eligible for a 100 dollar gift card. Wisconsin’s department of Health Services says 65 thousand people got their shots during the first two weeks of the incentive. You now have until September 19th to get vaccinated and get paid.

Sun Prairie Teacher Shines Bright

A middle school teacher in Sun Prairie is recognized for his teaching excellence.  Chris Gleason is one of 45-teachers from around the country who was named Thursday to receive the California Casualty Award for Teaching Excellence.  The awards will be handed out during a National Education Association Foundation event that comes up in February.  The award is a recognition of an educator’s dedication to teaching and to the community along with an effort to pursue personal professional development.

Return to Randall Doesn’t Bring a “W” for WI

Penn State takes one away from the Badgers in Wisconsin’s home opener at Camp Randall.  Over 70-thousand fans were back in the stadium after nearly two years of COVID-19 triggered absence to watch the Nittany Lions defeat Wisconsin 16-10 yesterday.  Badgers quarterback Graham Mertz hit 22 of 37 passes for 185-yards and two interceptions in the loss.  Next Saturday, Wisconsin is still at home to meet Eastern Michigan while Penn State hosts Ball State also on September 11th. $100 Incentive Extended

The 100-dollar incentive to get the COVID-19 vaccine is being extended until September 19th.  The rewards program began August 15th and over 65-thousand Wisconsinites got their first dose in the first ten days of the program.  That success motivated the governor to give residents over 12 years old a little more time get their shot and collect their hundred bucks.
