Read MoreA teen accused of shooting his younger sister is released from juvenile detention. Police say the 15-year old male shot his 11 year old sister on Tuesday. His sister was hospitalized where she later died from the gunshot wound. The 15-year old was released yesterday and faces negligent homicide charges. The Dane County District Attorney’s office says the teen will enter a plea sometime this month.
Read MoreThe University of Wisconsin-Madison is changing the name of the football field. Chancellor Rebecca Black said yesterday the renaming becomes effective with the 2022 season. The football field at Camp Randall Stadium will be known as Barry Alvarez Field at Camp Randall Stadium. Chancellor Black says the name change honors the college’s former head football coach and athletic director. Alvarez retired in June after a career spanning more than three decades.
